So summer is creepin’ on and I’m craving fresh, cold, fruity things – like this smoothie.
This isn’t a fancy smoothie, I give you that BUT this flavour combo is so tasty you won’t regret making it. Originally, this was supposed to be a vegan strawberry ice cream. However, that didn’t work out so well. Turns out, it’s impossible without an ice cream maker. Back to the drawing board. New idea: Strawberry smoothie!
So… the banana and frozen strawberries make up the creamy, naturally sweet base. Hemp seed (nature’s perfect complete protein with all 20 amino acids, including the 9 essential amino acids) is an optional addition, but it is good for healthy fats and protein, while coconut cream (I used Alpro Coconut Cuisine) adds even more healthy fats and creamy coconut flavour. Major swoon.

Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth, only adding water a little at a time as needed, and scraping down the sides/mixing as needed.
