Did you know that making your own cashew nut butter is super easy, requires just FOUR ingredients and takes literally less than 5 minutes?!
This recipe really is simple and so so versatile. In fact, it will work with any type of nut you like, be it almonds, hazelnuts, pecans or peanuts. Making your own nut butter allows you to create your own blends and add fun mix-ins like cocoa powder or vanilla extract. Making it at home means you have full control over the salt content, AND you save money too!
Cashew nut butter
Cashew nut butter made with NO refined sugar and NO palm oil
- 3 cups raw cashew nuts
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 cup walnut oil
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- Add all ingredients into a food processor and blend for 4-5 mins until smooth. Depending on your food processor, you may have to stop every now and then and carefully stir ingredients to make sure the nuts reach the blade evenly. If you want to loosen the consistency of the butter, add a little drizzle of walnut oil and blend again until smooth, even texture.
