Since posting my Vegan Parmesan Cheese Recipe, I have had a couple of you message me whether it would be possible to make vegan cheese without nuts. I opened and stared into my kitchen cupboard for a while. I thought of beans, roasted chickpeas, breadcrumbs… then I noticed a jar of SEEDS! Sunflower seeds to be exact.
This vegan parmesan cheese is a mixture of oats, sunflower seeds and nutritional yeast as well as salt and garlic powder for an enhanced flavour. This recipe is super easy, quick and dairy & nut-free! What more could you want?
Perfect to sprinkle over your favourite Italian recipes or to eat it straight out of the jar with a spoon… Don’t worry, I won’t judge you. I do this too.
