Guess who went strawberry picking?!
The weather has been so glorious this past week and when Jamie from Mama Bear of One posted pictures from her recent trip to a Pick Your Own farm, I was completely sold.
I’ve never been strawberry picking before and frankly, I didn’t know what it would be like but the place we went honestly surpassed anything I was expecting. Although the weather got a little gloomy as soon as we got there, the day was perfect. I loved casually strolling along with our little baskets, spotting and picking the biggest and juiciest strawberries, chit-chatting away.
Now, I know you can get strawberries all year long but there is nothing like freshly picked berries! And these strawberries were honestly the nicest strawberries I’ve ever had, so sweet and so full of flavour!
Between the two of us, we picked almost 2 kilos of delicious strawberries and as I love strawberry jam on literally EVERYTHING, I couldn’t help myself but make a jar.
